Front Aero Shield Kit
Deyeme Racing
2016/12/01 @ 95,000 mi.
|
To help improve aerodynamics and allow the installation of weather-protected external LEDs, we developed our Front Aero Shield Kit.
The stock clouseout panel is made from very thin polyethylene, while the belly pan is a fiber material with an aluminum heat shield. Our new version
is constructed from 1.5mm (0.060") thick polycarbonate sheet, which has much better impact, shear, and weather resistance than the original panels.
The result sits slightly higher at the radiator crossbrace and is overall more sleek underneath for a better approach angle and improved aerodynamics.

Billet Rear Swaybar Brackets & Poly Bushings/
Deyeme Racing
2014/10/15 @ 50,000 mi.
|
As we begin work on our rear swaybar installation kit, the rear swaybar-to-chassis brackets
and polyurethane bushings are the first items test-fitted on Speedy G. The brackets are a 2-piece design, carved from billet aluminum, and
the bushings are made from the same material as our "firm" engine mounts.

Titanium Oil Plug w/
integral magnet
2014/07/28 @ 45,000 mi.
|
Good oil and a good oil filter are paramount in keeping your engine running its best, but even the best filter misses some metal particles.
We installed this titanium oil plug to shave weight and add a little extra insurance with its integrated magnet. Cross-drilled holes in the
hex allow for safety wire installation, too, so you can be sure the bolt won't vibrate loose.

Silicone Wiper Blades
SilBlade Yellow
2014/03/15 @ 36,000 mi.
|
We've been using SilBlade wiper blades on other vehicles for years, and finally got around to changing the ones
on SpeedyG. More than just "dress-up" with the bright yellow color (although it doesn't hurt!) they really
do last longer than natural rubber blades, with less streaking, dry-rotting, and cracking.

Billet Aluminum Oil Cap
anodized grey
2014/01/01 @ 31,000 mi.
|
Going back under the hood for a little engine dress-up, we installed a billet aluminum oil cap to replace the
boring OE piece. Less plastic to corrode and break, and an easily replacable o-ring to keep the oil where it belongs.

Mopar Front Spoiler w/
DMR Airdam
2013/12/01 @ 29,000 mi.
|
We coupled Mopar's front spoiler with a flexible rubber airdam and mounting hardware for the best improvement in aerodynamics
while maintaining durability in adverse conditions. The spoiler works with our license plate bracket, and the
aluminum mounting hardware makes the spoiler and airdam easy to remove and replace as needed.

Front Grille LED Strip
SuperBrightLEDs.com
2013/10/15 @ 25,907 mi.
|
Being happy with the way the LED turn/run lamps turned out, we decided to suppliment the front lighting with some
amber LED strips. They're mounted against the backside of the metal bumper, so light is disbursed across the radiator and intercooler, for a subtle
glow throughout the front grille.

Front LEDs w/
Deyeme Racing front turn/run/marker LEDs
2013/09/01 @ 22,500 mi.
|
A design flaw in the front turn/park lamp housings makes the sockets prone to becoming burnt and brittle,
eventually leading to failure. Our dealership refused to confront the issue, so we came up with our own
solution. LEDs replaced the incandescent bulbs, and load resistors mounted to the chassis prevent the
"hyper-blink" bulb out warning during turn signal operation.

Front and Rear Mud Flaps
Mopar
2013/06/15 @ 18,000 mi.
|
With hot asphalt, gravel, and other damaging elements already taking a toll on our Challenger, we decided to get
mud flaps for the Dart in a more timely manner. Since a Mopar kit was already available, that was our go-to
solution. They fit great, and deflect some of the junk that gets kicked up by the tires, to help preserve the car.

Hood Lift Spring kit
Deyeme Racing Stainless srpings w/ brushed alloy brackets
2013/04/01 @ 13000 mi.
|
Since I plan on being under the hood of the Dart quite a bit, I wanted to replace the OEM prop rod with something
more functional and stylish. These brushed stainless steel air-charged springs fit the bill nicely.
They're mounted as far back as possible so they're out of the way, and mounted with tempered aluminum brackets
to the upper and lower hinge mounts, for minimal weight addition and maximum structural integrity.

Engine & Trans side mounts
Deyeme Racing Flex (60A durometer) LimeGreen
2013/02/01 @ 7000 mi.
|
For added protection against drivetrain movement, and increased long-term reliability of our Dart,
we added our own solid polyurethane engine and transmission mounts. The housings of the OEM mounts are very
well constructed, but the rubber inserts, which are actually oil-filled "hydromounts" allow for far too much
driveline play, especially with a manual transmission. If allowed to go unmodified, they will eventually dry-rot, leak,
and self-destruct, as we've seen with other models. Our solid-filled mounts reduce drivetrain movement to nearly none,
and will far outlast their OEM counterparts.

Bumper-Mount Tow Loop, Heavy Duty
Deyeme Racing billet alloy brackets hardened steel attaching hardware
2013/01/15 @ 6000 mi.
|
With winter well underway, it's a good time to think safety. Jumper cables, blanket, bag of salt... and a tow
hook, to get you unstuck if you do get into a sticky situation. The Dart has holes in the front and rear facia, behind which are
large threaded holes in the metal bumper. Our tow loop stays tucked away in the trunk until needed, and can be easily
attached should the need arise. The 2-piece bracket design was created to allow the creation of an alternative license
plate mount (p/n PF1TOWBLP), and the shackle is easily removable, making the tow loop compatible with just about any kind
of tow strap, chain, or rope, with or without hooks.

Wheels & Tires
Wheels
Wheel Vintiques steel, Silver Rallye 16"x6.5"; 5" BS
2013/01/01 @ 5000 mi.
|
These wheels maximize the Dart's track, look good naked in their sparkle-silver paint,
and fit our desired winter tires perfectly. Our tire choice was Bridgestone's Blizzak LM25 205/55-16 RFT.
With this setup, we can get a no-compromise summer setup in the future.

Wheel Spacers
Deyeme Racing billet aluminum 6mm (1/4") thick
2012/12/15 @ 4000 mi.
|
The Dart's large front brake calipers limit the choice of 16" wheels, and can even affect some 17" wheels.
For winter use, we wanted some durable and affordable 16" steel wheels, so we developed the first Dart-specific
wheel spacers, in 6mm (1/4") thickness. With these, most available wheels now fit over the front brakes
without issue. As an added bonus, the spacers widen the track of the Dart for better handling.

Rear Drivetrain Mount
Deyeme Racing Flex (60A durometer) LimeGreen
2012/12/01 @ 3500 mi.
|
Since Speedy is a manual transmission, we want to head off missed shifts and wheel hop before they become an issue.
The Dart's rear isolator suppresses drivetrain rotation, but not very well. Our solid polyurethane-filled
version does a much better job. Shifts are crisp, and no wheel hop!

Auto Graphics Pro Hood & Deck Twin Stripes Charcoal Metallic
2012/11/22 @ 3000 mi.
|
Still working on getting performance baselines and breaking the car in, we didn't want to jump right into performance-altering mods. Instead,
we opted to up the ante in the looks department, and get some protection from rock chips for the hood, with twin racing stripes with pinstripe
surrounds for the hood and deck. The charcoal metallic breaks up the solid color, and the 3M vinyl should last a long while.

License Plate Bracket Kit
Deyeme Racing brushed aluminum gold anodized screws
2012/11/06 @ 1950 mi.
|
We ordered Speedy G with specific instructions to leave off the OEM tag bracket. We then set out to make the
first mod for the 2013 Dart, which is our license plate bracket kit. For the rear, we installed rubber well nuts,
so we can use attractive and lightweight alloy bolts there, too. For the front, a bracket made from 6061 tempered aluminum
alloy is affixed underneath the facia. The front bumper is preserved, and our Dart is street-legal.
